David M. Bowers - Biography
David Bowers' paintings have graced the covers of TIME Magazine, Wine Spectator and Cigar Aficionado, just to name a few. His paintings have been published on over one hundred book covers and magazines. He has won numerous awards from the Society of Illustrators of New York and Los Angeles, Communication Arts and Spectrum, the Best of Fantasy Art. He most recently was recognized by the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles with the top honor, "The Joseph Morgan Henniger; Best of Show" and "The Patrick Nagel Award of Excellence." These awards will be honored to David at a special ceremony in Santa Monica, CA. David's work has traveled the country in numerous exhibitions as well as traveling internationally. To name a few, David has sold original paintings at DNFA Gallery in Pasadena, CA and Laguna Beach; Mendenhall Gallery in Pasadena and Gallerie 224 in Laguna Beach. He also has work in the permanent collection at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC and the Museum of American Illustration in NY. Currently, David's paintings are being exhibited at the Halcyon Gallery in London.
